Mimi Tompkins – Ballerina Turned Chef
During these past two weeks of summer, I have been doing a bit of cooking. I like experimenting with flavors and different combinations of salty and sweet. One of my newest creations is combining cherries with olives. The sweetness of the fresh cherries compliments the saltiness of the olives. I love experimenting, and my friends and family happily oblige by tasting my creations.
About MimiMimi Tompkins is in the corps de ballet at Ballet Arizona. A former apprentice at National Ballet of Canada, and trainee with the San Francisco Ballet, Mimi is a second-generation ballerina from McLean, Virginia and has been dancing ballet since she was three years old.
