Dancing Through Summer Break

DLMimi_SummerBreak_MAINThis past week was my first week of summer break!

I have the whole summer to my leisure, so I’m excited to spend time with my family and relax. I’m currently in Naples, Florida, where my parents reside. It’s a vacation spot on its own, so I’m definitely enjoying the sun and beach life. I guest performed in the Naples Ballet performance of Don Quixote the past weekend. It was a fun experience to dance in the local performance. It’s always inspiring to see the young aspiring dancers and to get to dance along side of them.

Besides spending time with my family, I plan on staying in shape too! I’ve been taking classes, going to the gym, and doing Pilates.  I don’t like to take more than a week off from dancing. I’m lucky my mom owns a ballet school that I can take classes whenever I like. I have also been teaching a little bit, and will continue to do so in the next few weeks. I am enjoying my summer break very much so far.
