The deadline to nominate your dance teacher for our first annual Dance Teacher of the Year Award is April 30th, 2014.

From the very start, Discount Dance Supply has been so excited to announce the first annual, Dance Teacher of the Year Award! With the stunning amount of heartfelt, truly inspiring submissions that we’ve received, the selection committee is really going to have their work cut out for them! We feel honored and grateful to be able to support the dance community in this way. Thank you so much to everyone who has already submitted nominations for their favorite dance teacher.

The Dance Teacher of the Year will receive: $2,500 cash, a commemorative plaque, and a full feature article here in Dance Life online.

This truly special honor will be awarded once a year to a dance instructor who has made a meaningful impact on a dance studio, teacher, or the greater dance community.

JoJo Mrgich began studying modern dance, musical theater jazz and choreography in college and now, 10 years later, she is part of the Marketing and Social Media team at DDS. In addition to working as a choreographer to local colleges and theaters in her spare time, she has also served as Director of Dance and Costume Mistress for local non-profit theaters in her community.

    Any idea how/when winners will be contacted? Prior to the May 31st date?
